Chicken and Rice
I found this recipe on Facebook and I made a few adjustments to it. It turned out perfect and I wanted to share it.
6-8 Chicken breast, tenders, or thighs
-I used 6 thighs to last for 3 people for 2 days.
2 cans of cream of Mushroom
-I use 1 can and a scoop or so from the other can. Use as mush as you want.
Chicken Broth
Fresh Mushrooms (Use as much or as little as you want)
Seasonings
-I used a chicken rub for the chicken that I put on the night before. But you can just use your favorite seasonings.
2 boxes of long grain wild rice
-I used 2 small boxes of Uncle Ben's
Oil
Fresh Garlic
Season the chicken and pan sear with a little oil. Grease a 9X13 pan. Mix rice w/ soup in the baking dish pour the chicken broth into the can and put it over the mixture and stir well. Sauté garlic and mushrooms for a few then add to the baking dish and mix well. Place chicken on top and cover with foil. Bak @ 335 for 2 1/2 hours. Remember not to take the foil off until then.
Brown for a few minutes when done.
This is a blog that express my interests. Postings will consist of writings, photos, recipes, crafts and whatever else I want. Enjoy!!!

6 Reasons to watch This Is Us
6 Reasons you should watch This Is Us
This Is Us premiered on the NBC network on September 20, with
each episode we learn one or two new things about the characters in the show.
In the first episode we know that three people share a birthday and a couple
are awaiting the arrival of their triplets. Sadly, one of the triplets doesn’t
make it but a baby was left at a fire house and the said couple adopt him. At
the end of the show we realize that the couple are 36 years in the past and the
people celebrating their birthday are the “triplets.” Or as the parents call
them The Big Three.
1. Jack and Rebeca
Jack and Rebecca are played by Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy
Moore. While every early in the second episode we see that Jack and Rebecca
have a few road bumps in their relationship. But they are also 100% everybody’s
TV relationship goals.
2. Kevin and Kate
Kevin and Kate are the two biological babies of Kate that
survived. So technically their twins and they have the twin bond through and
through. Kate is also Kevin’s personal assistant as he is an actor in
Hollywood. Or I should say was since he went ballistic on the set of his TV
show and quit in front of a live audience.
3. Multiracial family
Everyone in the family is Caucasian expect for Randall who
is African American. He was the baby that was left at the fire house who Jack
and Rebecca took home with Kevin and Kate. Being African American I’ve heard
people having issues with people of different races adopting children outside
of their own race. But does it really matter? If you can give a child a good
home, treat them like your own why does it matter that you’re of a different
race.
4. Randall and Beth
Beth is Randall’s wife and she is basically her husband’s
protector and backbone. As you already know Randall is adopted so he had no
idea or didn’t know much of his birth family for his whole life. On his 36th
birthday he got an e-mail from the private investigator that he hired to find
his father. Randall went to the man’s home and confronted him for leaving him
at a fire house. Randall then invites the man to his home where he later
invites him to stay. Beth being the protective wife she is grills Randall’s dad
to find out where he’s going every day and what his intentions are.
5. Kate and Toby
One of the main focal points of the show is that Kate is a
plus sized woman. She attends a support group and she leaves post it’s on the
junk food in her fridge to tell herself not to eat it. At her group she meets
Toby who I guess you can say is her boyfriend.” Toby tries to make Kate feel
like she’s the most beautiful woman on earth regardless of how much she weighs.
I can’t remember the last time television had a good family
drama. I have to take my hat off to NBC for featuring a family like this
especially since some people don’t know that it’s 2016. And that America is a
melting pot of cultures.
The 90s
The 90s is a favorite decade of many and it was a time that holds a special place in the hearts of many millennials. During the decade we experienced war, monumental presidential elections, catchy pop tunes and many memories that we can share with our children and grandchildren. Here are a few of the most memorable moments in pop culture.
1. Boy Bands and Girl Groups

The 90s brought us many great musical acts. From the Backstreet Boys to Destiny’s Child to N*Sync and the Spice Girls, tens of thousands of girls (and boys) wallpapered their rooms with these musical acts. We fought over who was the better boy band with our friends, rushed home to see who made the top 10 count down on TRL, planned our weddings to our favorite Teen Idol and screamed our hearts out at their concerts. Some of us may still do some of these things now. Wink.
2. Clearly Canadian

Although this drink first made its debut in 1987, it also had a very important part of the 1990. They had what seemed like a million fruity flavors (to a kid) and you could almost get away with substituting it as regular water since it wasn’t actually pop. Clearly Canadian made a small comeback last year selling vintage cases to fans online.
3. All That
Who can forget the 30-minute variety show that introduced us to Kenan Thompson, Nick Cannon, Jamie Lynn Spears. For a kid it was our version of SNL they had amazing skits each week that range from Good Burger, Ask Ashley and Ear Boy and don’t favorite the musical performances at the end.
4. Goosebumps

R.L. Stine knew how to terrify us with his bone chilling books. Then we got to see them come to life in the TV series. I have to thank Mr. Stine because his books gave me an appreciation for reading. I remember owning several stories and I wish that I had kept them so I could one day pass them on to my future children.
5. Crystal Pepsi
6. ER
Even though this show came on pass many kids bedtime it still was a major part of 90’s pop culture. It's also one of the greatest TV drama's of our time.
7. Ghostwriter
Who would have thought that a ball of light “talking” to kids and helping them solve crimes would be such a big hit? Well, it was and to this day you can find episodes of the show on YouTube. If you decide to watch, see if you can spot the famous celebrities throughout the series.
8. TGIF
Did I do that? Friday nights was something every kid looked forward to. You had the weekend off from school and you got to kick it off with a lineup of great shows.
9. Home Improvement
I feel like the best shows were in the 90’s. Home Improvement being one of them. One of my favorite parts of this show was how Tim Allen represented Detroit and Michigan in general. He always wore a sweatshirt in of a Michigan college in pretty much EVERY episode and the show was based in Detroit.
10. Are You Afraid of the Dark

This was hands down one of my favorite shows from the 90’s. Even though many of the episodes scared the crap out of me I always came back from more. I was also thrilled when they brought it back in the 2000’s. Sadly it didn’t last long the second time around.
11. Sister, Sister
Tia and Tamera were young ladies that I looked up too growing up. Today Sister, Sister is still one of my favorite shows and Tia and Tamera are still women that I admire.

5. Crystal Pepsi
It’s made by Pepsi but it tastes nothing like Pepsi. Either you loved the clear beverage or you hated it. I honestly couldn’t remember how it tasted back in the day or being a toddler when it came out if I was even allowed to have it. I just think that I remember it from the VH1 flashback shows. But thankfully Pepsi brought back Crystal Pepsi again this year and I was able to get my hands on a bottle. To my disappointment it just tasted like carbonated water with simple syrup. So basically sugar water.
