What is becoming of us......?

Social media has grown very fast in the last few years. Every day developers are creating new apps for uses to connect with each other. And what we do and say can be put on the internet within minutes if not seconds. Sometimes it's good and then sometimes it can be bad.

Unless your living under a rock then you know that Flint, MI has been without clean water for an ungodly amount of time. Children have been effected by it, people's skin has broken out in rashes and other countless health problems from both children and adults.

I don't follow sports nor am I a big fan of it. So I don't understand the rivalry that fans of  both college and professional teams have. But I feel as a human you have to know how wrong this is. I don't understand how anyone found it funny to make fun of people going through something so horrific. I don't live in Flint, but I live in a city very similar where the same thing could easily happen. Nothing about this picture is funny and my heart breaks a little to know that their are people out there who would find it funny. Even if they don't think that's it's funny they posed in front of a sign that mocks a real life or death situation.

In a matter of hours this picture went viral and not only the students but the school as well received a lot of unwanted media attention.  Sometimes we think that we do online is for our eyes only or the people that we share it with. But it only takes one person or one slip up that could put the picture/video in the wrong hands.

A weekend in Stars Hollow

ALERT THIS HAS SPOILERS!!!!
IF YOU PLAN ON WATCHING GILMORE GILRS: A YEAR IN THE LIFE
DON'T READ THIS YET!!!

I hate to say that I didn't watch Gilmore Girls on its original run back in 2000. I don't know why but the show never really applied to me. If I remember correctly I didn't get into the show until I was out of college. I may have been in my last year or so but whatever. SoapNet (and I don't even think that's around anymore) had picked up the show and they showed re runs every weekday evening. That's when I fell in love!!!! <3

It was quirky, snarky, sarcastic, they talked fast (much like I do) and it was funny. So I was really excited when Netflix announced that they were bringing it back with four episodes. Each episode represents a season in Stars Hollow, CT (the town they live in if you didn't know). Rory returns home (but she says she's not back) at 32 which seems as though she's there for a visit.

As the episodes go on we learn that Rory is up for a job with Conde Nast as well as having in affair with an old boyfriend (Logan). Which is something she kinda sorta did before with a different boyfriend (Dean) the original series.

Aside from Rory, Emily is grieving over the death of her husband as well as Lorelai and they end up going to counseling for. Lorelai has a fight with Rory when Rory tells her that she wants to write about Lorelai being a teen mom. Lorelai objects that idea and the two are left on not so good terms. Lorelai feels that she needs time to herself and goes on a type of survivalist hike. That doesn't last long and she then goes home and tells Luke that they should be get married.

In true Rory and Lorelai fashion they make up and Rory gives her mom a rough draft of the book to read. I would also like to point out that it seems as though Emily has gotten some oomph to her. She went off on her DAR members and a woman who was being interviewed for the group. If you're a fan of the original then you know that Emily is very prime and proper and she never acts in crude or unlady like way. That scene was also probably my favorite out of all four plus hours!!!

While I love Gilmore Girls nothing will ever compare to the original.  I think that the remake is good (I'm glad that mostly everyone came back) but it doesn't live up to the expectations of the original.

I guess there supposed to be a season two.....so I'm counting down the days!

OMG, They're back again!!

Yes, those are the Backstreet Boys! And that's ME with them!!!

Usually when I tell someone that I'm a Backstreet Boys fan the response that I get is...”Are they still together”? “I thought that they broke up”? Or my personal favorite “you still like them”? My answer is always yes, no, they never broke up and yes I do.

I have been a BSB fan for the better part of 20 years. Even if one day they do stop recording (yes they still make NEW music) and touring (something they also continue to do) I will still be a fan.

Being considered a boy band they may not always get the recognition that they deserve. But they are truly great artists who put their all into the work that they do.

I didn't have the best childhood and I feel that the Backstreet Boys helped me get through that dark time in my life. It's also something they continue to do to this day. They have also taught me not to give up and stick through it. You're probably reading this rolling your eyes, but in all honesty the Backstreet Boys have been a great support system for many of their fans. We find their music therapeutic, comforting and just good.

Through all the issues that they’ve had with poor management, greedy record labels to Brian's heart surgery, AJ's rehab and Nick's bar brawls (and more I'm sure we have no idea about) they have had each other's backs and their bond grew tighter.

Because of them I have met some of the most amazing people. Their not only my friends but their also the sisters and brothers I've never had. We can rely on each other and we support each other.  And whenever I need advice or anything under the sun I have my Backstreet buddies who are there to support me and give me the encouragement that I need.

OU Baksetball

My first OU basketball game. Too bad it was

gone to one until the other night (11/11/2016) The team played against
Bowling Green University and won 78-70.
